We understand that some foster carers may decide to transfer from another agency for their own personal reasons. We are always happy to hear from experienced carers.
If you are interested in transferring to us we’d be happy to talk to you.
As a small Local Authority we have the privilege of getting to know our carers’ personalities and interests. This, together with having children’s social workers in-house, enables us to make the best matches possible for you and our Looked After children.
Being a non-profit organisation we are driven by the best interests of you and the children in your care.
You will be surprised how straight forward it is to transfer to us. There are protocols that need to be followed, but as a Local Authority we know these back to front and deal with them every day. The process is slightly different if you have a child placed with you but we can advise you and guide you through this, and there is no reason for the child already in your care not to remain with you. To see the full protocol on this see the Fostering networks website here.
We offer a variety of support and training to our carers and potential carers. Our qualified and experienced staff will help you through every stage of transitioning from your agency.
